What I Want You to Know About Me – Cara-Michele, Licensed Acupuncturist in Baltimore
As a licensed acupuncturist in Baltimore I love working as an effective healer and I am constantly teaching myself in traditional and non-traditional ways to help myself and others feel whole. Being in true partnership with clients as they walk their journey is one of the greatest joys and responsibilities of my life.
I base my work as a licensed acupuncturist in Baltimore on the understanding that unless we are feeding our cells the fuel they need and moving physically and energetically smoothly and at the appropriate time, illness will always be with us.
I know for sure that when we feel better we have a greater opportunity to do great things for the people and causes we feel passionate about. Bumping up against our known and unknown limiting edges and breaking through those barriers allows us to reach our goals.
How I got where I am today
In 2004, I began studying aikido, a Japanese martial art, with Kinokawa aikido as a formal way to learn more about myself and grow spiritually. I have grown to the rank of second degree black belt and am now an owner of Falls Road Aikido.
In 2005, I graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly the Tai Sophia Institute) with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and have been licensed with the state of Maryland to practice acupuncture and am the owner of Strength & Vitality Wellness Center since then.
From 2000 to 2006, I supported people having difficulties as a crisis counselor for Grassroots. In 2003, I became a certified acupuncture detoxification specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). I loved serving in community programs so much that I underwent training in both Maryland and New York to become a registered trainer with NADA.
I became one of the foremost authorities on acupuncture in Maryland and worked all over the state training addictions professionals and consulting on the use and benefits of acupuncture for the treatment of addictions.
Let’s work together!
These are just a few milestones of my long journey. Strength & Vitality Wellness Center is another way I can practice what I do best, extend my knowledge and help people realize their full health and wellness potential. I’m excited to walk with you toward your wellness goals. Feel free to sign up for a free consultation to get a feel for what it’s like to work with me.
